What is donation?
The act of handing over the ownership of a certain valuable material to a worthwhile cause
What is curation?
The act of handing over the right of using a certain valuable material, but not its ownership, for the activities of exhibition, education and research based on its safe preservation.
- The National Memorial of the Korean Provisional Government is dedicated to promoting and celebrating the value of the Korean Provisional Government via the collection, researches and exhibition of a variety of curated/ donated materials related to the independence movement from the Japanese annexation of Korea to the modern period, featuring the Korean Provisional Government.
- The materials donated to the memorial are kept at a modern storage facility after undergoing specialized treatment for preservation and management, and used for the activities to disseminate the value of the materials through researches and exhibitions. These donations of heritage serve as a significant means to protect the valuable materials from theft, loss and damage.
- The National Memorial of the Korean Provisional Government welcome and truly appreciate curation donations and entrustment of the materials collected by individuals and groups. Please lend your support and participation in this matter.
Heritage to be donated for entrusted curation
- Written or printed materials (including documents, photographs & videos), historical heritage, daily articles, and others related to the Korean Provisional Government and the independence movement
- Materials with clearly known sources and historically significant

Restrictions on curation donation & entrustment
- If the provision or collection procedure of the materials concerned is likely to cause a controversy
- If the material concerned has little value due to heavy damage
- If the donor or consigner proposes a condition hard to accept
